IPA has launched a benchmarking study on power generator shutdowns around the world. The goals of the study are to improve a company’s shutdown performance and to advance industry knowledge on practices specific to achieving excellence in power generation shutdowns.

The study will establish an industry-wide performance baseline of shutdown COST and SCHEDULE performance and identify the causal relationships between practices and outcomes specific to power generators. The study is open to all power generating companies and to other industries with power generating capability at a site, regardless of fuel type.
