INTRODUCTION

Are you curious how the business and capital project worlds combine to deliver industrial facilities like chemical plants, petroleum refineries, manufacturing facilities and more. The Project Analyst will lead evaluations and consulting for Fortune 500 firms in different industries to improve effectiveness of their capital projects.

ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interfacing directly with clients to collect project technical data and uncover areas of risk
  • Writing reports to provide insight and recommendations for clients
  • Delivering verbal feedback and presentations to technical and business audiences
  • Working collaboratively with capital project teams and project organisations to improve business competitiveness
  • Conducting research on the drivers of project success and failure using statistics and IPA’s proprietary database
  • Travel internationally to our clients and other IPA offices on a regular basis including the USA 20 percent of the time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Masters preferred or Bachelors degree or equivalent in engineering, science (physics, chemistry, petroleum, geology), statistics, operations research, economics, or allied fields
  • 1 year of experience in Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS)
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year experience operating in a relevant industry
  • Proven record of using a variety of statistical methods to analyse large amounts of data

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

  • Demonstrable superior English language written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel functions
  • Intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn
  • Solid analytical skills
  • High self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and report writing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships at senior levels with client companies and to liaise with people from other cultures
  • Flexibility in taking on a variety of assignments
  • European languages (French, German) would be advantageous
