Keeping Up With the Changing Times in Capital Projects
Although capital investment has rebounded to pre-COVID-19 levels, project results and delivery practices are still facing major challenges. Developing a clear business case with an understanding of risks and uncertainties—and their root causes—is critical to assessing a sustainability-driven project’s chances of maintaining business value in later phases. IPA’s Andras Marton discusses the different types of early definition uncertainty sustainability-driven projects are likely to face.
Starting (or Restarting) a Site Improvement Journey
Starting a site-based measurement and improvement journey can be overwhelming. Capital-intensive organizations that try to fix all or several issues at the same time are unlikely to have good results. Instead, as IPA’s Pablo Cabezas explains, using site improvement Best Practices, like prioritizing efforts, is critical when undertaking a site improvement journey.

Major late changes lead to higher costs and longer execution durations for chemicals projects, as well as cost growth and schedule slip. IPA Director of Chemicals, Life Sciences & Consumer Products, Natalia Zwart explains why late changes are so detrimental to chemicals projects and how to avoid them.
