Gregory Ray Promoted to IPA Industry Benchmarking Consortium (IBC) Manager

ASHBURN, VIRGINIA (March 21, 2025)—Independent Project Analysis (IPA), Inc. today announces that Gregory Ray has been promoted to the role of Manager, Industry Benchmarking Consortium (IBC). In his new role, Gregory will manage both the IBC and UIBC annual conferences in conjunction with IPA’s Business Group.
Gregory has been working closely with long-time IBC Director Andrew Griffith through the planning and execution of IBC 2025 held in March and now fully assumes IBC management responsibilities moving forward. Andrew had led the IBC since 2016 and was instrumental in delivering high-value support to our members in their continuous improvement journeys. Andrew will continue as Director, IPA Institute, a role he has held since 2013.
Gregory joined IPA in 2007 as a project analyst in North America. In 2009, he re-located to Beijing, China, where he spent 8 years spearheading IPA’s operations in both China and Mongolia. After returning to IPA headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia, in 2017, Gregory has continued evaluating complex projects and megaprojects across the whole range of industries IPA covers. In addition to risk evaluation, analysis, reduction, and mitigation, his areas of expertise are global corporate strategy development, project and program monitoring and evaluation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, stakeholder analysis, competitive due diligence, and project management. Gregory’s expertise also encompasses the Asia-Pacific region and China project planning and execution.
Gregory has BA degrees in Philosophy and Literature and a BS degree in Finance from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and an MBA from Beijing University in China.
