Katya Petrochenkov is Deputy Director for Organizations and Teams (O&T) in IPA’s Project Research Division (PRD). Based in IPA’s Reading, UK, office, she leads a program of research and advisory services focusing on helping people, teams, and project organizations perform at their best.
Katya has been a member of the O&T group since joining IPA in 2010. Her work has focused on the full range of O&T research assignments for projects and systems ranging from plant-based business units focused on small, sustaining capital projects to large-scale megaprojects. Katya has led numerous capital project organization and team related evaluations and consulting engagements globally across many sectors. She also developed IPA’s intellectual property in the area of Best Practices for non-operating partners in large projects.
Prior to joining IPA, Katya managed educational efficacy studies for a large U.S. publishing company as a study manager at a private consulting company. She has also worked in the organizational research division of a large U.S. healthcare company and participated in various research and evaluation consulting opportunities at Claremont Graduate University in California, where she received her MA in Organizational Behavior. She also holds a BA in psychology and Russian language from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
