As President of IPA, Nekkhil Mishra oversees all aspects of the company’s global business operations and works closely with IPA leadership and the Board of Directors to implement the corporate strategy. He also serves on the IPA Board of Directors, a role he has held since 2022.
Prior to becoming IPA President, Nekkhil served as IPA’s Director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) from 2017 to 2024. In that role, Nekkhil oversaw IPA’s business operations within the region while leading and developing a team of project analysts, researchers, and support staff based in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
Nekkhil has also been a speaker at numerous industry conferences, including the AACEI Norway Conference in Oslo, giving IPA’s global perspective on the increased value proposition of benchmarking in this low oil price environment.
Nekkhil joined IPA in 2007 and has held several roles within the company, including Deputy Director of Oil & Gas, Client Engagement Leader to several companies, and Project Analyst. He has led hundreds of project assurance reviews for clients in more than 30 countries for a variety of industries. A specialist in benchmarking oil and gas development projects, Nekkhil has evaluated numerous large-scale projects worldwide for major U.S. and international gas exploration companies, helping them improve their business competitiveness. Notably, he led the evaluation of the largest discovery made in the Norwegian Continental Shelf, one of the largest gas developments in the world. Nekkhil frequently delivers presentations at industry conferences and facilitates training courses and workshops for project team members, leaders, and executives. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Major Projects Association (MPA).
Nekkhil has an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, India.
