Pablo Cabezas

Pablo is the Product Development Leader for IPA’s Site & Sustaining Capital services, managing the full suite of IPA site products and collaborating with business and regional leaders in site and sustaining capital projects, which make up an increasingly significant portion of project portfolios. Pablo leads IPA’s work with owner organizations across all industry sectors to improve the effectiveness of site-based projects, saving owner companies millions.

Since joining IPA in 2011, Pablo has evaluated projects in refineries, chemical processing plants, and mining and transportation sites, with costs ranging from US$0.5 million to US$14 billion. He has also participated in and led more than 30 site benchmarkings of small projects at various companies. He has project and client engagement experience across regions and sectors, as well as across products, with his most recent focus in project assurance and work process analysis.

Before joining IPA, Pablo was employed by the Mining and Metallurgy Institute of Innovation owned by Codelco-Chile. His chief role in the Project Management Department at the Institute of Innovation was related to project controls and portfolio management for over 100 innovation projects annually. Additionally, he prepared a portfolio of innovations based on thousands of projects.

Pablo has a B.S. in Engineering Sciences and a Professional Degree in Industrial Engineering, both from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile in Santiago, Chile.
