Over the last year, Independent Project Analysis (IPA) has been studying how companies in the capital projects industry are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have delivered periodic webinars to share the findings. On April 28, 2021, IPA Deputy Director of Research Jason Walker hosted a live webinar in which he shared new insights into the observed and expected effects the pandemic has had on costs and schedules at the individual project and portfolio levels. He discussed how the experiences of estimators and planners during the pandemic can help to better understand mitigation strategies for future mid- to long-term disruptions, and how IPA plans to feed this knowledge into our clients’ projects and project systems to ensure they are prepared.
